Freudenberg outlines how health and public health workers and others can “build a movement for a better world.” 81 Advocacy positions would include calling for an expanded public sector; strengthening democracy; confronting systemic racism and sexism; transforming the discussion about taxes and regulations; and making science and technology public property through popular education, political mobilization, nationalization of major industries, and erosion of capitalist institutions by strengthening alternative democratic structures such as credit unions.
