As this study is retrospective in nature, it cannot infer causality, and the analysis is subject to confounding by unmeasured variables, including comorbidities and the in-hospital care process. The study is also limited by missing data, potentially introducing selection bias. Furthermore, data quality is dependent on accurate EMS documentation under time-critical conditions, and bystander interventions may be subject to recall or reporting bias.
