The current study demonstrated the efficacy of antenatal lactation counseling in enhancing breastfeeding practices, improving newborn feeding behavior, and reducing breast engorgement. Therefore, as part of prenatal care, healthcare providers should offer antenatal lactation counseling to all primipara mothers. If proper counseling is provided during the prenatal period, breastfeeding practices can be strengthened, and breastfeeding difficulties can be addressed.
