Any painful, febrile erythematous eruption unresponsive to antibiotics should raise suspicion for this condition. Skin biopsy confirms the diagnosis, and corticosteroid therapy generally leads to rapid resolution. Early diagnosis is essential to avoid unnecessary reoperations and preserve aesthetic outcomes.
