MFC- and PCR-based MRD assessments offer distinct and complementary advantages in the management of leukemia. While MFC provides rapid and highly specific prognostic information, PCR remains unparalleled in terms of analytical sensitivity, particularly in AML. Inter-method discordance reflects a spectrum of residual tumor burdens rather than assay failure. Integrating both modalities into subtype-specific clinical algorithms is essential for achieving precise risk stratification, tailoring therapeutic interventions, and improving survival outcomes in patients with leukemia.
