TEN is primarily a reaction induced by drugs. The diagnosis is essentially clinical. In this instance, the ALDEN score was 4 (i.e., a level of responsibility: probable). The prognosis depends on the degree of skin involvement and the presence of associated organ failure. Discontinuation of the suspected or causative drug(s), prompt transfer of the patient to a specialist unit, and provision of supportive care are the fundamental components of the patient's management.
